MICA’S MISSION

Envisioning Justice Solutions announces an expansion of its services to criminal justice-involved women and men who grieve and attempt to survive the death of a child during their separation. We know that children who experience parental imprisonment during their youth are more likely to die prematurely. This is an overlooked trauma for both parent and child. There are little to no services for incarcerated parents suffering in isolation. Donations are requested to realize this vision to provide resources and support to help heal from this trauma and to honor the life of Mica Messina (5/26/2000 - 8/1/2023).

Envisioning Justice Solutions (EJS) has a vision underway to open a Women’s Wellness Center in 2024. The Center will offer 100% free services for formerly incarcerated women including those currently under criminal justice supervision.

Your generous donations will help us find the perfect location to provide consultation and guidance to women in need. We will help women engage in and navigate the available social and health services available in their communities. Our team will act as liaisons to such agencies and guide women in creating strategies to overcome barriers to accessing available services. Another goal of the Center will be to provide an array of pro-social activities and learning opportunities in a safe and serene environment.
